Brief Description Key responsibilities include the following:
Duties towards coordination of postgraduate programmes in the Department of Physiotherapy.
Upload academic material on the Moodle and SAKAI e-learning platforms.
Assist with postgraduate student admissions and appointment of examiners and administration related to the examination process.
Attending and responding to general postgraduate student queries.
Postgraduate student record keeping.
Demonstrate ability to work unsupervised, and to display initiative pertaining to the running of the postgraduate programme.
Administrative assistance with the undergraduate teaching programme as is required.
Administrative assistance with the requests for curriculum and foreign forms- post qualification documents
Filing and archiving of documents and updating the departments archive system
Uploading departmental publications on the university system.
Administrative responsibilities include managing an effective and efficient support service for the Department, reception work and handling general queries.
Ad hoc and special duties as necessary to ensure smooth running of the Department
Administrative diploma / certificate / experience
Experience with the Moodle and/or SAKAI e-learning platform.
Excellent people and communication skills (verbal and written)
The ability to work independently and take initiative.
Diploma / National Certificate in a relevant discipline
Preference will be given to candidates with relevant Wits experience
Knowledge of the SIMS operating system would be an advantage
Some bookkeeping knowledge will be an added advantage.
